The band formerly known as Simplexity is still a high energy, supercharged funk machine, but is also known for performing R&B, Blues, and Jazz music from the 60¡¦s through the modern day turning heads and shocking club-goers into having a nothing but a party every night they perform. With charisma, a powerful stage presence, and a heavy arsenal of an uncensored, uncut, in-your-face, bring-the-house-down song catalog, this band built their strong reputation and loyal following on performance and word of mouth. That word of mouth has brought and continues to bring in fans by the thousands over the past several years to clubs all over the United States just to see what everyone is talking about. Fire, explosives, wild costumes, impossible drumming, color coordinated wigs, a ¡§Madd Hatter¡¨ and a sexy trumpet player didn¡¦t hurt when it came to grabbing the audience¡¦s attention.
Each individual has a long history of performing music both regionally and nationally. Members of KARMA have performed with and opened for a vast variety of major artists such as: Cameo, George Clinton, The Gap Band, Bloodstone, Parliament Funkadelic, The Jerry Garcia Band, Zapp, Marvin Gaye, The Eagles, Billygoat, R. Kelly, The Whispers, Shirley Caesar, Denise Williams, Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Skid Row, basically¡K Too many to name.
KARMA continues to bask in the reputation for having one of the wildest and most entertaining shows in the Midwest - period. Even for the many who don't enjoy funk or R&B music, it's absolutely undeniable that KARMA is an extreme force to be reckoned with, and once you hear what¡¦s going on, you can¡¦t help but have a good time.
